The president of KNI Communications in Chicago, Illinois, Sean Tenner assists a range of charities, nonprofits, foundations, and political and issue-oriented advocacy campaigns. Before assuming this position in 2008, Sean Tenner served on the presidential campaign staff for Barack Obama, bringing more than 4,000 Illinois community leaders to the swing state of Iowa as director of the Obama for America’s Illinois to Iowa Program.

Mr. Tenner also served six years as a senior consultant with the Washington, D.C.-based consulting firm M+R Strategic Services, and as a program specialist with the Illinois House of Representatives. In recognition of his extensive philanthropic and advocacy work, he received the prestigious 35 Under 35 Award from the Community Renewal Society.

Outside of the professional arena, Mr. Tenner is a passionate fan of all of Chicago’s professional sports teams. He was present at game seven of the 2016 World Series when the Cubs beat the Cleveland Indians to secure their first championship in 108 years in what many consider the greatest world series game ever played.
